Atelier Akari is a custom residential architecture firm specializing in sustainable design and construction. In conjunction with our consultants we practice an integrated design approach to create homes with long-term environmental and financial benefits for our clients.

Atelier Akari values continuing education and is dedicated to providing access to opportunities which will better shape our understanding of our environment. We use our resources to help our clients imagine and realize their sustainable future. 

As an adjunct professor of sustainable design with ITT Technical Institute owner/principal architect Juliana Touma demonstrates to the student body, how to deliver high-performing, energy-efficient buildings through the use of programs such as ENERGY STAR, Architecture 2030, and USGBC LEED.  Resources from these programs have also been developed into the firm philosophy and during client orientation, sustainable worksheets are used to help clients select which sustainable targets they would like to achieve.
